Candidate Screening


For us to source the best healthcare professionals we follow a robust process to ensure that everyone we put forward is fully vetted and cleared to a high standard prior to placement and thereafter. Each candidate’s profile is monitored and they are made aware when there is an update due and cannot be booked out to work until this document or training is renewed, this is a compulsory requirement for all our staff.

Alpha24 Vetting Process

Alpha24 will obtain all original documents related to a candidates DBS, Immunisations and Training certificates. We also cover further background checks, such as:

  • Interview & Assessment
  • Right to work
  • Manual Handling (Renewed every year)
  • Basic Life Support (Renewed every year)
  • Fitness to work (Immunisations)
  • 2 Valid references (Renewed every year)
  • PMVA level 4 (Control and Restraint Renewed every year) if required
  • NMC Pin check
  • 10 year work history
  • Diplomas & Certificates

Please also note our processes fully comply with NHS safeguarding and employment check standards, (including NHS Employers Employment Check Standards) and all regulatory requirements. The approach we take has been constructed to deliver a service that meets the needs of our clients as we can include specific checks you may want with the staff we supply.

Alpha24 Healthcare accepts The Health and Safety Groups ‘Skills for Health’ CSTF Mandatory + Statutory Training AND/ OR ‘All in One Day’ Mandatory Training, and can confirm it meets our mandatory training needs. Please also see HSG Participating Agencies page. Your certificates can be shared with us via The Healthcare Certificate Register.
